For this term our topic focus will be building's around the world, the structure of them, the purpose for them and how the environment can impact on them. Each week I am going to post a picture of a building on the blog and I would like learners to tell me where the building is and why it is famous. This can be done via posting in the comments or writing it inside their homework book.

This building is called the colosseum. It is in Rome Italy. The colosseum is famous because it is very old, it is in lots of movies and it is very beautiful.

It was used for fighting between Gladiators who fought each other and gladiators who fought wild animals
It is built of concrete and stone
It is not used for fighting anymore
It is round
Wind and rain can shrink it
