Peter Pan Jr. Production

Wow! What an amazing production, so many talented Pinehill students!
Room 17 did such a great job in the many scenes they participated in.

Our little gardens

In Room 17 we are learning to be responsible by looking after our own plants. There are a range of plants from herbs to vegetables - chives, lettuce, spinach, radish, cress and many more.

Finished Bridges

Room 17 finished their bridges off by painting them. They choose colours they thought would look best on their bridges. Some choose colours to make roads on them.

Have a look!

Constructing Bridges

It is great to see Room 17 working as a team to problem solve. Each groups goal was to replicate the bridge they had been researching. We used recycled items to build the bridges that were brought from home. I can't wait to see what they will look like when they are finished!

Bridges with Lego

For Topic we have been learning about bridges. Room 17 made bridges out of Lego with a partner. We learnt that to have a strong structure it required multiple beams underneath the bridge.

Swimming at the Millennium

Room 17 are having so much fun swimming at the AUT Millennium. Here are a few photos from our Tuesday swimming classes. Everyone has been trying so hard! We have even made swimming goals which I know we will achieve.

Auckland Museum Trip

Here are some photos from our Maori school trip. We learnt about the myths and legends, cultures and traditions of the Maori people. It was very interesting to learn about the different meanings behind carvings, weavings and paintings.

Thank you to all our amazing Room 17 parent helpers!
