Collecting Data

This week in Room 17 we learnt about the different types of graphs we can use to display data. In the pictures below students learnt how to investigate and collect data from other peers to form their tally charts and bar graphs.

SAS Preparation

These past couple of weeks Room 17 have been practising for Athletics Day. Have a look at the cool long jump pictures that were taken by the students. We have some excellent high scores in our class some measure at 3 metres!! Wow!

Term 1 Topic

Our Topic for term 1 is School Rules and Social Interactions. Everyone was part of the process in choosing the topic from a range of ideas. It was really hard to pick one as they were all so interesting.

Here is a picture of our Pinehill Tree. On each hand learners drew things that they liked on their thumb they drew something that was unique to them. They are also drawing things that they like on their T-shirts this is yet to be finished.

Getting To Know Each Other

It's the first week of school and we have already learnt lots about each other. In the photo below students organised themselves into months to find out which month had the most birthday's and which had the least. As a class we decided the best way to display this information was through a Pictograph. Please visit our blog regularly.
