Cultural Day

On cultural day we were able to celebrate all the different countries that we come from at Pinehill School. We were able to share our own values, traditions and beliefs. Room 17 enjoyed learning about others and countries around the world. 

Matariki

Matariki is important to New Zealand as it celebrates the Maori New Year. This happens every year in June. We learnt a song about Matariki

Multiplication and Division

In Room 17 we have been learning to use repeated addition as a way of multiplying.

            Division can be used once we know how many sets are in a times table. Have a look at our                   pictures.

Happy mother's day to all the wonderful mum's of Room 17.

STOP, LOOK and LISTEN

This week we got practical and learnt about road signs and hazards on the road. Room 17 learnt that is important to always be watching what's going on around the roads, to be a safe pedestrian. 

Road Safety Week

This week it is Road Safety Week. Our school aim is to ensure all learners understand road rules and safety on the road.

During Road Safety Week we have a poster competition running.

Room 17 will be entering the Junior competition.
There posters will need to have:
-bright colours
-a clear road safety message
-text that is easy to read
-pictures that relate to the message

All entries are due at the end of the week, Friday 6 May.

Travelwise tree will continue on in weeks 2-3. Be active room 17 learners!
