STOP, LOOK and LISTEN
This week we got practical and learnt about road signs and hazards on the road. Room 17 learnt that is important to always be watching what's going on around the roads, to be a safe pedestrian.

Road Safety Week
This week it is Road Safety Week. Our school aim is to ensure all learners understand road rules and safety on the road.
During Road Safety Week we have a poster competition running.
Room 17 will be entering the Junior competition.
There posters will need to have:
-bright colours
-a clear road safety message
-text that is easy to read
-pictures that relate to the message
All entries are due at the end of the week, Friday 6 May.
Travelwise tree will continue on in weeks 2-3. Be active room 17 learners!

The Anzac Puppy read by Linda Millar
This is called the ANZAC Puppy we read this book before going on holiday. We learnt that it was a true story, it gave us an understanding of about how soldiers would have felt during the war.

Ronald McDonald Show
Ronald McDonald came to visit Pinehill School to talk to us about how to cross the roads safely. Watch out for those sneaky driveways!
