Question 1
There are 12 slices in a pizza pie. Samantha ate 3 slices of pizza. What fraction of the pizza did Samantha eat?

Question 2
Samantha bought 2 pizza pies to take to her friends sleepover party. There are 4 people at the sleepover party that Samantha needs to share with. How many slices will each person get?

Great effort from everyone in Room 17. The dedication and determination that was put into cross country today was PHENOMENAL! It was an added bonus to have people come in the top 10 for the whole of the Year 3 boys and girls.

Maths Week

As it is maths week I will be posting up problems on the blog for Room 17 students' to do at home. Remember the more problems you do the more points you earn. Write the answers in homework books. Good luck!

Jennie the old sheep dog is lazing around in the paddock near the house. She counts the number of animals in the paddock. There are 11 of them, pigs and ducks. Then her eye runs over the legs. She sees 28 legs. How many ducks are there?

Cross Country

Next Tuesday will be our school cross country, there will be no swimming as cross country will take place in the morning at 10.30am. Parents are more than welcome to come. Please make sure you bring your sports gear and drink bottles. Go Room 17!
I think we'll be a bit more motivated than Garfield.

Room 17's Assembly

Reminder next Tuesday will be Room's 17 school assembly, which will take place in the hall at 1.30pm. Learners have put lots of hard work in to make sure it is memorable and enjoyable assembly. Please come along and join us.
